2015 Season in Review

“Beauty can be seen in all things, seeing and composing the beauty is what separates the snapshot from the photograph. – Matt Hardy

The 2015 season might be a hard year to beat. With over 27 weddings completed this year alone, over 15 Engagement Sessions, 2 Children Wish Foundation Events, Family & Maternity sessions and countless hours in front of the computer editing we look back at some of our favorite moments of the 2015 season.

Of Course the 2015 season could have not been a success without our wonderful couples. We are blessed to have met some lovely, unique, talented and special individuals throughout this season. There is no us, without you! Pamela and I would also love to thank Vanessa & Quentin who also shot with us during the 2015 season! You both were amazing and we thank you!!

The season did have hiccups however having those hiccups only strengthened our beliefs and allowed us to grow as individuals and as a business. Hiccups you say??? Yup the editing process took us longer than we hoped this year however in doing so we realized that we would rather take the time and do it properly than rushed…they are your memories forever so they should be perfect.

Also because we were soo busy I was unable to blog about the weddings we captured therefore I will spend the beginning of 2016 blogging about our 2015 adventures!

Overall this season showed us that no matter what, capturing your special moments is what we love to do and will continue to do for a very long time! Goodbye 2015 hello 2016! To our 2016 couples….the time has come, your year is about to begin….enjoy the wedding planning process, take it in and enjoy….your wedding is going to happen with the next 365 days!

I wonder what 2016 will have in store for Direct Your Focus Photography?  I know for sure it won’t be as busy as the 2015 season as we will no longer be taking any new clients for the 2016 season to ensure we can maximize our time with our couples and our families. We are blessed to jump into the season with a lighter workload and the only reason we can do this is because of your endless support….so If you’re getting married in 2017 (yes I know, 2016 Just Arrived) but we would love to chat about your wedding…

Viva Las Vegas

A year ago we went on a mini vacation to Las Vegas with members of my family and while looking back at some photos from the trip I wanted to share some on our blog. Being our 2nd time in Vegas we were able to appreciate the sights and sounds even better than the first. We visited the Grand Canyon a 2nd time however this time taking a helicopter down into the canyon and then taking a boat ride on the Colorado river. It is an amazing place and one I hold very dear to my heart.

Take a look at Las Vegas through the eyes of my Nikon Lens!

Courtny & Sam ~ In love & Getting Married!

~ Courtny & Sam  ~

Courtny & Sam  are getting married next weekend and I cannot wait to spend their special day with them. On one of the hottest days (35+) we headed out to Britannia Park for their Engagement Session. It was a gorgeous day however we found some refuge in the shade.

The love between them is soo adorable, I am excited to capture the silly, adorable moments with them! Here is a sneak peak and some of my favorites from the session!
